Small Classes

In our center, we arrange our classrooms by age. We have one classroom per age group and one teacher for the group. It looks like this:

Infants max = 7 children with 2 teachers

toddlers Max = 7 children with 1 teacher

2-3 year olds Max = 7 children with 1 teacher

3-5 year olds Max = 10 children to 1 teacher


(Capacity 22 students - Then we would add a second teacher at 16.) We believe this allows the children to be relaxed, confident and have more space. It also allows for a more involved relationship with their teacher, more turns at circle time, games, and activities.
